Türkiye İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları was founded in 1956 by Hasan Âli Yücel.Hasan Âli Yücel was establishing one of the important and well-established publishing houses of our country by combining the speed and knowledge he gained from the work he started during the Ministry of National Education to bring the "world classics" into our language and to read them widely.The first book was Mustafa Kemal Atatürks Hasbihal with Officer and Commander.
Then came the books that would form a comprehensive Atatürk library.
With the publication of studies examining our history, social structure, ethnographic and geographical features, the publishing house has become an indispensable place primarily for researchers and eventually for all intellectuals.Today, Hasan Âli Yücel has a strong portfolio with his books published in the fields of Classics Series, Modern Classics Series, Children and Youth, Research and Analysis.It continues to add the books of well-established authors of Turkish and World Literature to the world of literature.
